Mr. President, I read something that goes a long way to explaining what is wrong with our Russian and Ukraine foreign policy. A former U.S. inelligence officer wrote in the New York Times: "When I was a Soviet analyst for the intel community back in the late 1970s / 80s, US policy toward the USSR was informed by one overarching principle: Soviet perceptions of their own security environment, needs and realities were AS VALID to Kremlin policymakers as American perceptions of OUR own security environment, needs and realities were to policymakers in Washington DC. "This was NOT about appeasing or coddling the Soviets. Rather, it was about maintaining consistent and stable relations with a potentially dangerous nuclear power. We were able to compete with the Soviets politically while avoiding direct confrontation. Hence, the name "Cold War." "The reason that the US today is locked into a potentially dangerous confrontation with Moscow is that both the intel community and State Department are populated largely by 20- and 30-somethings who were not alive when the Berlin Wall fell." We can engage with the Russians in a variety of ways including covert operations. We do not have to like them. Our folly is that we are failing to respect them, and, as the officer says, they need to be taken seriously because they have nuclear weapons. Wake up, Mr. President! Get us back on our side of Russia's red line, like Mr. Khrushchev got back on his side of our red line in Cuba in 1962! Stop abetting Mr. Zelensky's mad war. We don't need NATO in Ukraine but we certainly do not want a major European land war, or do you, Sir? Press for an in-place unconditional cease-fire in Ukraine, Mr. President, to stop the damage this fool's mission is doing to everybody all over the world each new day! The Zelensly price of gas where I live is $4.59 a gallon today. A human dies at a temperature of about 107 deg. Fahrenheit. At what gas price will the global economy collapse, Sir?

Mr. President, I as a citizen without access to intelligence information wonder what we are not being told about Mr. Zelensky in Ukraine and what he he may be up to. In The Times of Israel recent comments include: "These Ukrainians [jewish oligarchs] should be happy, no more ukrainian citizenship with ZELENSKY THE ANTISEMITIC DICTATOR ! Ukraine's opposition leader 'is now under arrest' and 'the opposition media, the TV stations, have been shut down by the government.'" "Kapo. With all the bloodshed in Ukraine he still has time to pose with his wife in Vogue. "Earlier this year they showed videos of marches in Ukraine that celebrated Hitler. For the first time I wonder if maybe between all the lies Putin says, could it be true that there is a real NAZl problem there and Zelensky is now going after the Jews to appease them? The fact that someone is Jewish means nothing, so please don't say he's Jewish so we shouldn't worry." How can I know the truth? With their memory of the Holocaust, jewish people can be like a carbon monoxide detector in your home. Shouldn't we all be safe not sorry by following our good Pope Francis's urging: "For me, today, World War III has been declared. This is something that should give us pause for thought.... "We have to move away from the normal pattern of 'Little Red Riding Hood': Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad guy. "Here there are no metaphysical good guys and bad guys, in an abstract sense. Something global is emerging, with elements that are very much intertwined.... "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted, and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." For the sake of humanity, Mr. President, stop feeding Mr. Zelensky more weapons. Press both sides for an IN-PLACE UNCONDITIONAL cease-fire. Then let's build back better a peaceful prosperous NEUTRAL Ukraine, Sir.

From Army Times: "While most headlines focus on the weapons the United States can provide to Ukraine, less focus has been placed on how the United States can help with demilitarization and rendering safe the hazardous ordnance strewn about the country. This emerging crisis will only continue to worsen and plague Ukrainian villages, fields and daily life long after the war ends. "International demining experts estimate that Russian munitions may have dud rates between 10% and 30%, meaning massive amounts of unexploded ordnance will remain in the ground for years to come.... "Ukraine will continue to need help and support to rebuild its infrastructure. If the war ceased today the unexploded ordnance crisis would still take years to overcome." Shouldn't we presume that the weapons we supply to Mr. Zelensky are contributing to this problem also? Even if not, shouldn't we prevent it from getting even worse by pressig both Mr. Zelensky and Mr. Putin to an immediate in-place unconditional cease fire? Why have ou not done this, Mr. President? Since this war is obviously a stalemate, neither side can likely make game-changing gains on the battlefield so why not have both sides stop the potlatch and just bicker harmlessly at a conference table, Sir, perhaps in Mr. Zelensky's lovely 15 room villa in Tuscany Italy? Surely our excellent Army Corps of Engineers will be able help undo the damage, but why waste their resources by digging holes for them to fill up again? They have ever more unavoidable disasters to deal with due to the other war we are losing: so-called "global warming" which may be a feel-good euphemism for earth's atmosphere becoming like our sister planet Venus. Several decades ago, The Soviet Union landed a heavily shielded probe there and it lasted about one hour. Nobody has deemed it worth going back a second time. The Army Corps of engineers won't likely be able to revert the Venusization of earth's atmosphere. Ukraine in-place cease-fire NOW, Sir!

Ukraine. Our good Pope Francis's deeply felt and thoughtful words: "The world is at war. For me, today, World War III has been declared. This is something that should give us pause for thought.... "We have to move away from the normal pattern of 'Little Red Riding Hood': Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad guy. "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted," the pope said, "and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." Mr. President, you and your administration either disagree with persons such as University of Chicago Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science and West Point graduate John Mearsheimer about, or are ignorant of post-Cold War history. But few can question that dead people no longer have any kind of life, liberty or anything else unless in another world beyond the grave. You can use America's great power to press all sides in this mad potlatch for an in-place unconditional cease-fire. Whatever new war crimes are being committed by whomever each new day logically will end with an end of hostilities. You can stop this barbaric insanity by pressing both Mr. Zelensky and Mr. Putin for a joint victory: A total cease-fire. At a minimum, you can cut the losses by turning off the American weapons welfare spigot to Mr. Zelensky. Then even if he stubbornly continues to refuse to negotiate with the Russians, he will no longer be able to cause so much trouble. A car that runs out of gas comes to a stop no matter what the driver's wishes. We can continue io escalate toward World War III or we can deescalate toward civilization and peace. Let's not argue whose ideology is right. Get on, Mr. President, with putting an end to an indisputable wrong: making more premature corpses in Ukraine.

Who, Mr. President, famously said: "Call me Ishmael"? Mr. Zelensky is a real life Captain Ahab and all humanity is a real life Pequod. Looking into Mr. Zelensky's eyes in a recent PR photo of himself with his wife, I see only one thing: obsession, not any indication of human empathy. In giving him weapons, Sir, you are abetting an insatiable monomaniacal monster: a Captain Ahab. That should make question what you are doing, Sir. ---- From a former U.S. Intelligence Officer: When I was a Soviet analyst for the intel community back in the late 1970s / 80s, US policy toward the USSR was informed by one overarching principle: Soviet perceptions of their own security environment, needs and realities were AS VALID to Kremlin policymakers as American perceptions of OUR own security environment, needs and realities were to policymakers in Washington DC. World War III needs to be averted. For the sake of humanity, Mr. President, if you, unlike Mr. Zelensky, have a soul, please stop feeding that mad man more weapons. Press him and Mr. Putin for an unconditional in-place cease-fire, now! The future of humanity is in your hands, Mr. President. Shortsighted hotheads (see above) egg you on to overthrow the Russian government, giving no thought to potential self-destructive consequences. What fate do you choose for us all, Mr. President?

The Economist, John Mearsheimer, Univ. of Chicago 19 Mar 2022 (much abridged) THE WAR in Ukraine is the most dangerous international conflict since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. The trouble started at NATO's Bucharest summit in April 2008, when George Bush pushed that Ukraine and Georgia "will become members". Russian leaders characterised this decision as an existential threat and vowed to thwart it. America ignored Moscow's red line. These efforts eventually sparked hostilities in February 2014, after an uprising (which was supported by America). As America's former ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul notes, Mr Putin's seizure of Crimea was an impulsive move in response to the coup that overthrew Ukraine's pro-Russian leader. American and European policymakers could not admit they had provoked the crisis by trying to integrate Ukraine into the West. They declared the real source of the problem was Russia's desire to dominate if not conquer Ukraine. The next major confrontation came in December 2021. The process started in December 2017, when the Trump administration decided to sell Kyiv "defensive weapons" which looked offensive to Moscow and its allies in the Donbas. Moscow found this evolving situation intolerable and began mobilising its army on Ukraine's border last spring to signal its resolve to Washington. But it had no effect.... Mr Lavrov noted in January, "the key to everything is the guarantee that NATO will not expand eastward." The subsequent negotiations failed, as Mr Blinken made clear: "There is no change. There will be no change." A month later Mr Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine to eliminate the threat he saw from NATO. America and its allies are doubling down.... They may be able to prevent a Russian victory in Ukraine, but the country will be gravely damaged, if not dismembered. Moreover, there is a serious threat of escalation beyond Ukraine, and the danger of nuclear war. ---- Unconditional, in-place cease-fire!

Mr. President, please stop supporting Mr. Zelensky! I read more in the Israeli news about suspicions that Mr. Zelensky is associated with neo-Nazie elements: the Azov Batallion. His unhinged ranting alternating with sycophantic pleas for more weapons look on its face like possible clinical psychosis. I studied in details an extensive interview with one of his chief aides, Alexey Arestovich, from 2019. It is chilling. The two of them callously planned this war in detail in 2019. They knew in advance that pushing to get Ukraine into NATO would, with "99%" probability, trigger "a major war with Russia". They just accepted all the casualties as necessary to carry out their plan. Mr. Zelensky and his aide are mass murderers, Sir! ---- Our good Pope Francis has urged (and I, Mr. President, respectfully concur): "The world is at war. For me, today, World War III has been declared. This is something that should give us pause for thought.... "We have to move away from the normal pattern of 'Little Red Riding Hood': Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad guy. "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted, and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." ---- In a New York Times OpEd Piece May 31, Christpopher Calldwell wrote: Mr. [Henry] Kissinger is on the same page as Mr. [Henri] Guaino.... "To make concessions to Russia would be submitting to aggression," Mr. Guaino warned. "To make none would be submitting to insanity." Mr. Kissinger is no friend of Russia. ---- What will it take you to change America's ill advised and adventurist Ukraine policy, Sir? World War III? Do we care about ourselves and humanity, not to mention the world economy? What's the problem, Mr. President?

Mr. President, besides our aggressive and dangerous foreign policy supporting the Zelensky regiime in Ukraine, another serious problem America faces is the threat posed to the intellectual integrity and advance of our nation by "political correctness" and Wokism. Shortly before you took office, there were two horrific crimes. One riveted our nation. The other got no notice. The one that got all the attention was George Floyd's murder by a racist police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 25 May 2020. The one that got no attention was the murder - the beheading - of a school teacher in Paris France by an Islamist religous bigot for teaching freedom of expression in a public school. In the New York Times, there was an article, 27 Sugust 2012, "New York's Private Schools Tackle White Privilege. It Has Not Been Easy.", by Michael Powell, which said that in New York's elite private schools, they are teaching that "individualism, worship of the written word and objectivity" are "supposed characteristics of white supremacy" This is cause for alarm. What are you doing to encourage respect for unbiased scholarship, Sir? This can be put in terms of our military preparedness: If Mr. Xi launches a war against us with weapons that objectively work and we fight back with weapons that are Woke, whom do you think will be the victor? Of course nothing is as urgent at the moment as stopping the war in Ukraine from ruining everything, but after we get Ukraine built back better as a peaceful, prosperous NEUTRAL country, Sir, there are a lot of mission-critical problems yet to face, including defending "the life of the mind" against enemies within. Your administration needs to oppose your predeessor, Mr. Ronald Reagan's belief that tax money should not underwrite "intellectual curiousity". Your administration must also stand up against censorship of ideas which are not Woke or, as some people might see disagreement about the Ukraine war, "unpatriotic", Sir.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEPWgMXut_8 ~ Sky News [Comcast NBCUniversal] host Cory Bernardi: "Zelensky promised to end the civil war.... Instead he's goaded the Russians by endorsing the right sector whose leader publicly claimed he fed the bones of Russian children to his pet wolf. Now apparently that was a joke but it must have been lost on the russians." Mr. Zelensky dismisses the neo-Nazi Azov batallion with words like our Mr. Trump used about his shady dealings with Ukraine: He averted his gaze from the interviewer and coldly replied: "They are what they are". His body language spoke loudly: Don't ask me about Nazis. "Like most marketers, Zelensky knows that image is everything. That's whiy he's always pictured wearing his army green t-shirt... It portrays him a a man of action and part of the front line... which he's paraded in every single parliament around the world just about, begging for more money in arms as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe. He even wore it in his vogue magazine cover shoot this week." Studying that now famous photograph, Sir, they look like Bonnie and Clyde, the infamous Ameican bank robbing duo from the 1930s. "In this war the propaganda coming out of the [U.S.] presidential office rivals only that coming out of the Kremlin. It's just that one side's lies are being dutifully regurgitated across the western world to sustain a proxy war.... Few are seeking to defuse this conflict and instead... many are much more intent on escalating it and potantially creating world war III..... Zelensky has banned a dozen opposition parties. He's shut down non-state mediia...." "Something about all this doesn't add up. there's an agenda at work that is much greater than staving off fthe russioan invaders." What is that agenda, Mr. President? If you go before Congress and ask for a declaration of war against Russia, you ill probably get it from all the hotheads, and we may all get h-bombs from the Kremlin, Sir.

Mr. President, why are you provoking war with Mr. Xi's China? Your emotional meltdown in a press conference in March gave us cause for concern about your fitness to govern. Some people question if you are too old, but Dr. Henry Kissinger and Professor Noam Chomsky, our two greatet political minds, are in their 90s, so that is not necessarily the problem. Dr. Kissinger: "America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests." Niccolo Machiavelli, in the 16th Century, distinguished private morality from political policy. Your weapons aid to Mr. Zelensky in Ukraine sends many men to death each day, which as private morality is premeditated murder. Why do you not objectively approach matters like perhaps being peeved at Mr. Xi? (Or are you cynically pretending to be a puppet of your emotions as psychological warfare?) Isn't wnat's best for America in Taiwan to invisibly support them defending their red line (What exactly is it?), like we should be honoring Russia's red line anent NATO in Ukraine? Ms. Pelosi's trip to Taiwan was incendiary because the Chinese are sensitive to "face". Mr. Putin probably does not care what bad names you call him so long as you do not act on them. But to insult a person like Mr. Xi who is probably obsessed with "honor", is a material hostile act. Both men want respect, but Mr. Putin will be satisfied if we just make Ukraine NEUTRAL in fact. Mr. Xi may not be satisfied until he gets a formal apology which we may not we willing to give him, that Taiwan is a province of his nation. If Ms. Pelosi had not provoked him, there would be no need to give an undesired apology for an unenacted act. We need to earn our adversaries' respect by respecting them. Parable: The chief rival of the school I attended as a teenager was: "Gilman". The faculty egged the students on to shout: "Beat Gliman!" They never had them write essays on whether the students at Gilman School shouted: "Beat Gilman!". Please do your homework, Mr. President.

Dr. Vladimir Putin. Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Making reciprocal extortionate demands and stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace. What, Mr. Prsident, is the voice of humanity that cries out for peace? It is largely the cries of pain and small hopes for living of simple folk who are suffering along with their animals who are also victims of you three's failure to implement an in-place unconditional cease-fire in Ukraine. There is also another way the voice of humanity that cries out for peace is being stifled. A journalist's story: ....it was in Bosnia, the biggest single act of ethnic cleaning I had witnessed to date.... and there was an old man who stopped to talk to us.... and he was 80 years old and he looked as though he had already died.... and I asked him do you mind if I ask you Are you a Croat or a muslim? And he said, "I'm a musician".... (BBC World Service, June 26, 2022 03:00AM-06:00AM BST, Internet Archive) You and your administration appear to be either Croats or muslims. OK, Americans. Russians. Ukrainians. Same thing. Raise yourselves up above blinkered sectarianism and instead become musicians. Mediate conflicts not participate in them, Mr. President. "Where words fail, music speaks." Mr. President, why did you send Ms. Pelosi to Taiwan? You knew this would *unnecessarily* provoke Mr. Xi. Did you run this by our expert, Dr. Henry Kissinger, to make sure he thought it was a good idea? Robert Daly, director of the Wilson Center's Kissinger Institute on China thinks it was a bad idea. That we should stand by the people of Taiwan but not publicly push for Taiwan independence – in other words, leave well enough alone. He speculated Ms. Pelosi may have gone there, not to materially help the situation, but to personaly feel good about supporting democracy. (I would ask: A photo op?) Why are you trying to stir up trouble, Mr. President? Do you feel your "honor" is threatened by Mr. Xi's blustering? Do you feel you must stoop to his level? That's what uncouth little boys in a schoolyard do: they pick fights with each other instead of devoting themselves to their studies. If Mr. Xi rattles sabers, Mr. President, The mature thing to do is to Let our military quietly deal with the sabers and you not take the bait of getting rattled, Sir. Mr. Daly said we should try to avoid conflict – avoid war – with Mr. Xi. We can help lower the temperature if we don't do things that make him feel has has to prove himself in the eyes of his Party. Your foreign policy seems adventurist, Mr. President. This is risky. Relations between us big nulcear powers are very shaky. The nuclear disarmament experts are extremely worried that any small misstep may set off a nuclear war in which the "winner" will stand on a pile of rubble. In other words, there will be only losers: The end of civilization. A wise psychoanalyst, Prof. Michael Eigen, of New York Uniersity, has advice for difficult problems which, unlike being in a burning building, do not demand an immediate response: "When in doubt, wait it out." The perfect response may come to mind in the new morning, or the next.... Or maybe we can just live with the problem. Why the rush, Mr. President?

"I welcome the announcement tonight [07 Aug] of a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza-based militants..." This was very good news, Mr. President, but why are you not working for a cease fire between the Zelensky government in Ukraine and its Donbas based militants, Sir? Our good Pope Francis urges: "The world is at war. For me, today, World War III has been declared. This is something that should give us pause for thought.... "We have to move away from the normal pattern of 'Little Red Riding Hood': Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad guy. "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted, and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." Each new day I awaken hoping to learn the terrible and extremely dangerou war in Ukraine has ended, and that Messrs. Zelensky and Putin are going to the confernce table to work out a settlement which will provide peace and prosperity to the people of Ukraine and also meet Russia's security needs. Haven't they, haven't we all, long since suffered too much? All it will take is for Mr. Zelensky to order his troops to an in-place cease-fire: to only return fire when fired upon, not to initiate any further hostilities. The other side could then stop shooting because they would no longer be threatened by Mr. Zelensky's forces. Any people in the Donbas who do not like it there surely could be provided safe passage to go to Mr. Zelensky's area of control or even be welcomed to a better life here in America. The humanity for which our good pope speaks which he says cries out for peace would welcome a cease-fire in Ukraine as well as in Israel, Mr. President. I have confidence you can make it happen. Thank you, Sir. And may God protect all humankind.

Imagine: You, Mr. President, and Mr. Zelensky, win the war against the pro-Russian dissidents in Ukraine and their foreign allies. The separatists in the Donbas are thoroughly subjugated. The Russians go home. Secretary of Defense Austin's objective to castrate Mr. Putin's military so that they cannot cause any new aggression is achieved. Dr. Putin's government is about to be overthrown in a color revolution. As one last act of despairing defiance, he orders what the "Ban the bomb" people always feared: MADness. A MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) strike of Russia's nuclear arsenal. General Mark Milley (MM): "Mr. President, NORAD reports the Russians have launched a preemptive strike of over 1,000 missiles against us. We must assume they all carry hydrogen bombs. Our defenses will only be able to knock out 90% of them there are so many. We have 15 minutes until our country will be obliterated. This is not a drill, Mr. President. What shall we do?" President Biden (B): "Retaliate!" MM: "Please repeat that, Mr. President." B: "I said, General, strike back at the Russians. They have attacked The United States of America. This cannot stand unanswered! Launch our missiles before it is too late, General." MM: "Mr. President, I have heard and believe I clearly understand your order. I cannot carry it out, Sir." B: "What, Genreral?" MM: "Respectfully, Sir, I cannot in good conscience take away humanity's last chance to survive on this planet. Our country is doomed. But if we do not strike back, maybe some people will survive and mankind will rearise from the ashes. No launch, Sir. We must get you and your wife to safety in the bunker immediately, Mr. President." B fumes. America is obliterated except maybe for a few "preppers" and the President who survives for several months in his secure bunker. Some people do survive in the Southern Hemisphere to try to build back civilization. "All understood, too late." (Sophocles, "Antigone", 441 BCE)

Agence France-Presse: "Russia is now a terrorist state and is holding the nuclear power plant hostage, blackmailing the nuclear disaster," Ukraine's Presiden Zelensky said.... Vladimir Rogov, a member of the regional administration installed by Moscow, blamed "the fighters of Zelensky." "Unfortunately, instead of de-escalation, even more disturbing incidents have been reported in recent days, incidents which if continued could lead to a catastrophe," UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Thursday. ---- This does not make sense, Mr. President: Mr. Zelensky blames Russia for everything. Russia replies, logically enough, that Mr. Zelensky's people are causing it all. Nobody is descalating. Why don't you, Mr. President, be the adult in the room and make these pugilistic little brats who are wrecking everything for everybody behave? Is the reason that you are not an adult but just another selfish, immature little fisticuffer, like them, Sir? Our good Pope Francis put it very politely: "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted, and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." Three potentates making reciprocal extortionate demands: Yourself, Mr. Biden, Dr. Putin, and Mr. Zelensky (+Alexey Arestovich). You be more mature and responsible than they are and step up to the plate to mediate their conflict! All three of you should be ashamed of yourselves for the harm you are doing to everybody. But, you, Mr. Presdent are the one of the three you can straighten out yourself. You can also help straighten out Mr Zelensky by turning off his U.S. weapons welfare spigot. Mr. Zelensky and the mastermind behind the green t-shirt, Alexey Arestovich, need to go away before they destroy everything for everybody. The only way I as an student of history can deal with the cynical horror of what they are doing is to write a story pretending Mr. Z is a nursery rhyme character. Mr. President, enjoy: Little Bunny Foo Foo, Hopping through the forest, Scooping up the field mice And bopping them on the head. Down came the blue fairy, and she said, "Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't want to see you Scooping up the field mice And bopping them on the head. I gave you three chances, And you didn't behave." [The blue fairy suddenly realizes this is no bunny bopping through the forest, but television actor Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy, whose role has gone to his head, killing people on the Ukrainian battlefield. She waves her magic wand and turns Mr. Zelensky into Zelensk*it*ty, and forever after the only living creatures he can kill are mice and vole*odymyr*s.] "Now poof! You're a goon!" And the moral of the story is: Hare today, goon tomorrow! "The servant of the people" needs to be stopped from continuing to kill them in his selfish war. He continues to provoke the Russians so he can whine about them committing war crimes but fails to hilite the reason they are doing them: Because he persecuted his own Russia-friendly people in the Donbas and shoved NATO down Russia's throat. Mr. President, your support of Mr. Zelesky's war – and it is his war:, he planned it since 2019 – recalls an old Zap Comix cartoon. It's G-rated, Sir, so it won't offend your morals. You may find it admonitory: There was a man who tried to murder a hamburger by eating it. All the utensils in the Greasy Spoon restaurant where the endangered hamburger peacefully lived, came to the hamburger's rescue and chased the man, his hunger not assuaged, who runs out into the street to avoid getting killed by the aroused knives, forks and spoons. The man figures out how to solve his problem: He runs back into the Greasy Spoon restaurant and orders: another hamburger. The more weapons you give the man in the commando green t-shirt, the more weapons he will want, and the more he will need because the Russians will keep reciprocally raising their stakes in his cynical game. He gets longer range artillery; the Russians will try to secure more ground to neutralize their increased range. You, Sir, make every day Christmas Fay for Mr. Z, with all the gifts of military assistance you give him. You and your administration must know that this war is doing a lot of damage already and it may well end up causing a nucleear war on the Eurasian continent: World War III, from the carcenogenic fallout of which the United Stastes will not be exempted even if Mr. Putin restraines himself from targeteng our stragegic military objectives and major scities with h-bombs. Who knows why you can't respect Russia as another actor in the global marketplace but apparently you want to overthrow Mr. Putin's government because his morals are not good. Persons such as myself will be collateral damage if this mess doesn't work out as you may hope for. The fate of humanity is in your hands. As young Colonel Paul Tibetts's commanding officer told him when he got unlimited authority to do anything he wanted to get the atomic bomb delivered to Hiroshima: "Use your authority wisely". He did. Are you, Sir?

The ability to share ideas without fear. These are the building blocks of any free and open society.... Today, we reaffirm our commitment to those deeply American values in solidarity with Rushdie and all those who stand for freedom of expression." This is like your Ukraine policy, Mr. President: Celebrating heroes and creating new dead ones instead of facing facts. If Mr. Rushdie had kept out of sight and under guard he would still be up and at 'em this new day, defending free ideas with his pen (typewriter, personal computer...). Instead he is in a hospital probably undergoing painful medical procedures and could instead be dead. You could be working for a peaceful, prosperous NEUTRAL Ukraine and improved relations with Dr. Putin's Russian Federation instead of abetting TV Commando Z's remember-the-Alamo intolerant autocratic regime. If you really want the Russian people to have a better life, what worse could you have done than try to corner Dr. Putin, thus making him double down on Russia's security needs and crack down on the Russian people? You know that NATO in Ukraine for Dr. Putin today is like Soviet missiles in Cuba were for our President Kennedy in 1962: A RED LINE. Back then, Mr. Khrushchev backed off and nuclear war was averted. Mr. Zelensky planned this war since 2019 and he does not care about the harm it causes and you are his enabler. We need to follow Mr.Khrushchev's example and back off. You seem not to appreciate that discretion is the better part of valor, Sir. It's governing based on realpolitik facts not sentimental emotions. Shugfest 2022 in the Donbas. Stalingrad lite. Pope Francis has urged: "The world is at war," he said. "For me, today, World War III has been declared. "Here there are no metaphysical good guys and bad guys, in an abstract sense. Something global is emerging, with elements that are very much intertwined.... "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted," the pope said, "and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." Why haven't you, Mr. President, told Mr. Zelensky and Mr. Arestovich to stop rheir war and host a peace conference in Mr. Zelensky's lovely 15 room villa in the neighborhood he shares with other oligarchs in Tuscany Italy? All the killing and destruction and its attendant costs to the people of the world can end before yet more people killed and injured and of more the sad country of Ukraine is reduced to rubble and it triggers World War III. All you need to do is tell Mr. Zelensky that the party is over and it's time to go to the econference table to arrange a settlement that will let everybody, includng Dr. Putin's Russia, get on to living in peace. Haven't you had enough of the slaughter and waste? None of it would ever have happened had Mr. Zelensky not tried to suppress the pro-Russian people in the Donbas and press to get Ukraine into NATO which Mr. Arestovich anticipated in 2019 with 99% certainty would provoke a major war with Russia, because Ukraine in NATO today, like Soviet missiles in Cuba were for our prresident Kennedy in 1962, is: A RED LINE. As Pope Francis urges, humanity cries out for peace. Do you wear dark glasses to avoid seeing, Mr. President? In-place cceae fire now, Sir! Man up and just do it, Mr. President.

I was relieved to read your celebration of freedom of expression in your remarks about Mr. Rushdie's attempted assassination. No American need fear censorship or or other penalty for voicing reasoned arguments against the war in Ukraine or any other controvertial issue. Of course there are legitimate reasons to censor speech which is treason by linguistic means. I recall that a man, before Pearl Harbor, sent detailed messages of warship movements in the harbor back to the Japanese military. (He was not caught.) But I read that in World War I, in England, Sir Bertrand Russell was sentenced to prison for "pacifism". No man, woman or other need fear such violation of their right to peaceful protest and exercise of their faculty of disinterested intellect in The United States of America so long as you remain in office. For that we must all be grateful, Sir, including emeritus MIT Professor Noam Chomsky and University of Chicago Professor of Political Science John Mearsheimer. I end here by once again repeating our good Pope Francis's deeply felt words, and hoping you will act to end the terrible and entirely unnecessary slaughter which apparently still continues today due to America's policy of supplying massive infusion of weapons and other military assistance to the television actor in the green t-shirt whose role has gone to his head and his advisor Mr. Arestovich: "The world is at war. It seems you do not like Dr. Vladimir Putin. The Amerian people are being fed an image of him as a big bully. What you do with bullies is threaten them because they are paper tigers. Dr. Putin is an educated person (PhD in economics). He knows the system from the ground up. He started out as a juvenile delinquent traumatized by a big rat that tried to corner him – an experience he has never forgot. He worked his way up thru the KGB. He knows how to work the system. He is also a Russian. Russians do not like liberal democracy, item: Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Mr. Solzhenitsyn would not like Dr. Putin, but not because Dr. Putin is an autocrat, but because he is corrupt. Mr. Solzhenitsyn liked autocracy, just he wanted it sqeeky clean. Mother Russia eats her own. As the saying goes, World War II was won on American arms (weapons) an Russian bodies (corpses). You cannot bully Dr. Putin. He is a savvy fellow. He played your predecessor, Mr. Trump, like a trumpet. Dr. Putin does not make idle threats. NATO in Ukraine for Russia, like Soviet missiles in Cuba for our President Kennedy, is A RED LINE ("red" here having nothing to do wih communism which Dr. Putin does not like: he is a capitalist, like yourself). The only chance you have of beating him by force is either, as Senator Rand Paul said of the Soviet Union, to run him out of money, or that young Russians are as decadent (in Russian eyes) as youth here in the West and would rather have fun than die for the Motherland. If you respect Dr. Putin he will respect you. You respect his red lines and he will respect yours. As Prof. Mearsheimer has warned: if he cannot get NATO out of Ukraine, he will reduce the country to rubble. We have an unpleasant choice, Sir: In NYT OpEd Piece May 31, Christpopher Calldwell: Mr. [Henry] Kissinger is on the same page as Mr. [Henri] Guaino.... Her nurse training was in... the Soviet Union, and she said she is sympathetic to both sides. "I spent my youth in Ukraine [SSR], I have friends there, I do not want people to suffer. I wish there could be an understanding between Ukraine and Putin," she said. "I was in a war, I know what war is, I know what it is to suffer in a war." "Ukraine, why did they want to join NATO?" Ms. Gomes asked. "Russia does not accept that." NATO, she noted, "is an enemy of the Soviet Union. If someone is my enemy and I tell my father I am going to their house – to my enemy's house – is that good?" Manuel dos Santos, a former freedom fighter... who has served in various ministerial posts, was also clear about his support. "If I had to take sides in this moment – ... let's say I had to, I would say that Russia had been provoked in every way," he said. Whichever side they're on, people in Guinea-Bissau have felt the war's effects firsthand. ---- Mr. President, you cannot know what Mr. Putin's relation to us could be. Ukraine war. Mr. Zelensky has reached a new extremity, even for him, in warning that if Russia holds show trials of putative Ukrainian war criminals they will be crossing a RED LINE and no further negotiations will be possible. "Negotiation" for Mr. Zelansky means total and abject surrender of both the Russians and his own separatist citizens in the Donbas, renoncing any dispute with his peremptory dictates. No compromises have ever been possible with this maniac. He is to be believed about no negotiations being possible in future: they never were in past, so nothing will change except his ever updated propaganda. Calling this a "RED LINE" is a sick joke: M.r Zelensky's whole regime is based on crossing Russia's RED LINE: no NATO in Ukraine. Mr. Zelensky talking about RED LINES is crassist hypocrisy: the pot calling the kettle black. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xNHmHpERH8 This is not a new "extreme" in his cynical propaganda campaign. One time – one time! early in his unending sob story PR show. he backed off: When he tried to make the Israelis give him weapons by he telling them if they did not they would be tolerating a new Holocaust and should be ashamed of themslves. Some members of th Knesset (Israel's parliament) found this a bridge too far. Oops! You must have your reasons for propping up this evil – repeat: evil man, Sir. Mr. Zelensky is a danger to civilization. He will stop at nothing, at no extent of harm to persons and property, in his obsessive pursuit of his selfish agenda. Why he is obsessed with Ukraine in NATO, who knows? It does not matter. One excuse for advancing his acting career is maybe as good as another. The only thing that will stop him is like an automobile: when it runs out of gas, i.e., Mr. Zelensky must have no more weapons left to destroy any more people or property. People here in America who fall for Mr. Zelensky's sob story propaganda as opposed to learning from history like Univ. of Chicago Prof. John Mearsheimer, blame Russia for everything bad in Ukraine. But isn't the truth, Mr. President, that NATO in Ukraine today is for Russia the same as Soviet missiles in Cuba were for America in 1962? Mr. Putin is right and we are wrong, like, in 1962, our President Kennedy was right and Mr. Khrushchev was wrong. If I was a citizen of another country, say, India, I would write to Dr. Putin something like: "Remember the story in the Bible of King Solomon and the two women who both claimed the same baby. The baby's real mother who loved her child gave the child to the evil woman who wanted to steal him because she did not want to see her child cut in half and thus killed by the King to settle the dispute legalitically. "Dr. Putin, you need to do the same: Mr. Zelensky and all his abettors, especially the United States, will not cease killing more people until either your troops leave his country or everybody is dead. Let them have the Donbas and their NATO, even though that is not right. Make only one condition: That they let anyone who does not like to put up with Mr. Zelensky's brutality leave Ukraine with their movavble assets, and come to Russia for a better, more civilized life. "For the sake of humanity, Dr. Putin, be bigger than they are, even though it means ignorant people will gleefully boast they beat the aggressor. Let them say whatever makes them happy, but you are better than them, Sir. Or aren't you? Will you cause the baby to be chopped in half and killed?" That's pathetic isn't it, Mr. President? We could do the right thing and press Mr. Zelensky to order in uncondtional in-place cease-fire and negotiate NEUTRALITY For Ukraine. Then everybody could get on with building Ukraine back better after all the grievous harm Mr. Zelensky has caused to his own people and also to all the rest of us.

Our Russia-Ukraine policy: Advance freedom in an oppressed nation by threatening its government, leading it to crack down harder on its people than it otherwise would have, to provoke the people to rebel to become free: make them suffer to motivate them to stop the suffering of which we are part cause. In the long run they will be happier but how many will not live that long? Their misfortune is just the price they must pay for others to luck out. Instead, we could do everything possible to minimize provoking the oppressive government: firmly respect not threaten. The Russian people had better lives before we crossed Russia's RED LINE by propping up Mr. Zelensky's agenda to make Unraine part of NATO instead of peacefully NEUTRAL. Recall that the Soviet Union's leader Nikita Khrushchev famously said he would bury us. But that was not a threat to overthrow our government by force and castrate our military, like our policy against Dr. Putin. Mr. Khrushchev meant he was condifdent that, in the long run, internal problems within our system whold cause us to defeat ourselves. Then the Soviet Union would win without fighting or killing any of us. Why are we not doing like Mr. Khrushchev and letting the internal dynamics of Dr. Putin's Russia lead to our desired future without us harming anyone? Are we not as confident of the success of our cause as he was of his? If Mr. Zelensky wins his war against his fellow citizens in the Donbas, that will only prove we gave him more weapons than the Russians gave the separatists who did not want to serve Mr. Zelensky's oppressive regime. Why is Mr. Zelensky fighting his fellow Ukrainians in the Donbas? To make them free? Apparently the Donbas is (or was, before the present stalemate artillery slugfest...) a rich industrial area. Mr. Zelensky wants it as a spoil of the successful coup on the coattail of which he came into power in Kiev. He wants the Donbas as an internal colony. Why are we not supporting the freedom fighters (whom Mr. Zelensky calls "separatists") in the Donbas in their struggle against Zelenskyist oppression? Beyond that, Mr. President, our good Pope Francis's deeply felt words still urgently cry out each new day of the continuing grinding slaughter which is depriving ever more people of life and their pursuit of happiness. America, the Jesuit Review "raises a question that extends to the tendencies of popular culture today: Is there anything of substance behind the spectacle?" Russian Orthodox Partiarch Kirill sees the Ukraine conflict as having 'metaphysical significance'; he warned his flock: "the price of admission to the happy world of Western consumption and freedom was as simple as it was terrible: to agree to hold gay pride parades.... We are talking about something different and much more important than politics: We are talking about human salvation." Do we engage with metaphysics, Mr. President? We do not even engage with such matters as the beheading (severing the neck) of a school teacher in Paris France (Samuel Paty) for teaching freedom of expression in public school classroom, 16 October 2020. At that time, America was hysterically obsessed with a racist rogue cop killing a putative small time felon (George Floyd) with a knee to the neck. Of course "the life of the mind" cannot matter when persons endure terror: barbarism (the Ukraine war), racial bigotry (George Floyd) and religious bigotry (Samuel Paty). Let us quickly dispatch all those banalities which should not trouble civilized life, Mr. Preident. Let us build a better way forward beyond both the "society of the spectacle" (gay pride parades) and also pre-Jefferesonian uncricical religious belief (The Orthodox Church). Make America indeed become what President Ronald Reagan perhaps glibly called "A shning city on a hill": a society that each new day builds more enlightened a republic that secures the right of each indivdual person to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (and learning). Not just "we the people", but for each person in the people: Cogito ergo sum (I think therefore I am). Mr. President: stop the pointless slaughter in Ukraine and also stop the woke destruction of Americans' minds. Listening to the radio: A European official accuses Russia of weaponizing energy by closing the Nordstrom I gas pipeline, as if this was something Russia should not be doing. What do we expect from them after we have imposed "cripping" economic sanctions to try to overthrow their government and castrate their military? Do we expect Russia to thank us, ask us to please bring on more of it, and give us, in appreciation for our helpfulness, unlimited energy for free? This is utterly offensive to reason: maybe its propaganda to further stir up and inflame anti-Russian sentiment among our gullible masses, so that everybody will put up with more economic dislocations and our young males will itch to die fighting the vilified Putanic monsters? What the official should have said is something like: "Because we have placed crippling economic scnctions on Russia, they have, as expected, retaliated by closing the Nordstrom I pipeline. We asked for it and we got it. Now we must beg all you here in The West to tighten your belts yet more so we can further tighten the sanctions, and all our young males to enlist to die fighting that evil regime which had the arrogance to retaliate againt us trying to overthrow their govermnmnt!" Columbia Univ. Economics Prof, Jeffrey Sachs on U.S. China relations: "The solution is sit down and negotiate and talk to the other side and solve problems, but not this kind of name calling, shouting through the press.... We should be discussing, solving, brainstorming, presenting evidence, analyzing, but not just name calling, unilateral sanctions, attacking Chinese companies, warning as our officials do everywhere in the wrold: 'Don't you dare buy from Hwawei, this will cause great damage in your relations with the United States.' We're making threats all over the world that aim to really stop China's continued economic and technological development. I think it's disgusting and stupid.... They do not comport with our wellbeing, with our national needs and certinly not with the world's needs.... President Kennedy said: 'Let us never negotiate out of fear but let us never fear to negotiate.'... Unless we talk, we can't understand each other and we can't solve problems." Mr. President: Why did you let Ms. Pelosi go to Taiwan and effectively (although she didn't have the courage to take down her pants and show him her buttocks...) moon Mr. Xi a couple weeks ago? Such behavior is like nasty 4th grade boys fisticuffing and sticking their tongues out at each other. In the elementary school I attended some other kids studied, instead. Do you and your advisors, Sir, learn from scholars like Profs. Sachs, Mearsheimer and Chomsky, and pray for peace with Pope Francis? Or do you enlighten yourselves from more trustworthy sources, especailly the PR whinings and rantings of a sometime Ukrainian comedian who finds Monty Mython hard to understand, owns a 15 room villa in Tuscany Italy through a shell company, and, propped up by NATO military welfare alms from your administration, dresses up in a green t-shirt costume each new morning to play the role of "Freedom fighter" on reality television to beg for more, like Mr. Trump trusted Vladimir Putin more then our CIA?

Because what I write does not matter, I will digress today after once again pleading for you to turn off the weapons wefare spigot to Z, to force him to stop his selfish war and negotiate NEUTRALITY with Dr. Putin, and peace for all mankind. I came across something from my 1950s childhood which reminded me of Mr. Zelensky and his tv production crew: The creatures from an old science fiction film: "The day of the triffids" – it's free on Youtube for all of you in The West Wing to watch when you go home tonite. Then I listened to Dr. Jordan Peterson rant against Twitter. I do not agree with his conservative build back better agenda, but much of his critique of America today is on target. America is descending into a Woke / LGBQWERTY black hole. I have nothing against homosexuality. When I was 40, an abbot in a Buddhist temple once discreetly tried to seduce me. I was honored. But, alas, I am not sexually attracted to my same gender. What is disturbing are people flaunting whatever they believe, and ignorance. I started learning about the disgusting mess of "our", i.e., your, Eastern Europe foreign policy in Febrary, when I listened to Vladimir Pozner explain, on Youtube: "How the west created Vladimir Putin". We should be ashamed of ourselves. But instead we have doubled down. Republican Senator Paul Rand is on target that wasting our nation's wealth propping up that puppet in Ukraine is gross folly. As he says: The Soviet Union did not collapse because it was militarily defeated, but because it ran out of money. We next? You people are deaf to reason. Prof. Jeffrey Sachs actually spoke so one of you and was told that no way would we change our dangerous and foolish Ukraine policy. Mr. Biden, you are Capain Ahab. Vladimir Putin is your Moby Dick. I will be very lucky if one day I can write: "Call me Ishmael". In March, you went off script and ranted in a press conference; some Americans have better control of their hormones than you, Mr. President.

Our good Pope Francis has urged (and I, Mr. President, respectfully concur): "The world is at war. For me, today, World War III has been declared. This is something that should give us pause for thought.... "We have to move away from the normal pattern of 'Little Red Riding Hood': Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad guy. Here there are no metaphysical good guys and bad guys, in an abstract sense. Something global is emerging, with elements that are very much intertwined.... "Tragic scenarios are being reenacted, and once more reciprocal extortionate demands made by a few potentates are stifling the voice of a humanity that cries out for peace." Mr. President, Pope Francis is not a twit. He is a wise an compassionate man who, in the twilight of his life is looking at the big picture and what he sees deeply troubles him. He is not alone in this, is he, Sir? You know Ukraine in NATO is a RED LINE for Russia today like Soviet missiles in Cuba were for us in 1962, and that Ukraine is not important for us. If we don't threaten to take Taiwan away from Mr. Xi, he won't likely take it the near future. Isn't Taiwan contested? Do you and your administration care that the future of humanity, or that the price of heating fuel in Europe this winter is at dire risk and that people already are starving in the third world because of this wilfully provocative Ukraine war? And on and on it goes.... Is the New York Times picture of you tangled up in snakelike arrows with your head bowed (2022.05.19) dispositive? Are you way in over your head? Are you pursuing a cynical neoconservative agenda you fear can only succeed by lying to even the educated public, for our own good, of course? You at least seem to be one of Pope Francis's potentates who are stifling the vioice of a humanity that cries out for peace. Nobody except hotheads can feel good about what you are doing, Mr. President. Are there any adults in The West Wing? Do you care, Sir?

I guess it's obvious, although you and your administration are not calling the Amerian people's' attention to it, that the Zelensky goverment is just the continuation of "servant of the people" tv show production on a bigger stage set. TV Commando Z's wife, the mastermind of it all Alexey Arestovich, and we don't know who else. They are a cottage industry boosting their ratings off American military welfare. Smart kittens they are. And I don't think you or the rest of your government have really fallen for it. It's a very convenient way to deniably try to overthrow Dr. Putin's government just because – because some people are determined to finish off what we started in the 1980s and early 1990s, just that we also conveniently forget we promised Mr. Gorbachev we wouldn't push NATO east of Germany. But we are alawys right even when we aren't and other countries are wrong when they don't toe our line. Pope Francis said: "The world is at war. For me, today, World War III has been declared. Potentates do not listen to clerics except when they consecrate capital ships and urge their flock to enlist. I wonder to which place the Judge who decides who will spend eternity in hell and who in heaven will send you for your reckless war mongering, Sir – especially if this World War III you are fomenting goes nuclear and kills us all. Humanity needs an unconditional in-place cease fire in Ukraine, now.

Mr. President, if we, WE, because without America's massive weapons welfare, Mr. Zelensky would be forced to negotiate.... If WE win in Ukraine, maybe by Dr. Putin being the adult on the room and yielding to Solomonic logic, you will have set a very bad example for humanity: That the sword is still mightier than the pen. If Russia is a paper tiger, they deserve to lose, not because they are wrong but because they are paper. America is wrong. Numerous scholars, not flag-waving hotheads, tell you this. University of Chicago Prof. John Mearsheimer. Columbia University Prof. Jeffrey Sachs. Emeritus MIt Prof. Noam Chomsky.... We promised Mr. Gorbachev we would not push NATO east of Germany and we renegged. We are truth deniers. But we are determined to get our way by force of arms. We deserve to lose buecause we are wrong. But, having the biggest fists in town, we may pull it off, especially if Dr. Putin acts rationally and accepts that while he is right, it is wrong to be dead right i.e., to kill everybody to have the satisafaction of winning. Also, you personally have set a bad example for humanity. Your uncontrolled fit of anger against Dr. Putin in that Press conference in March should have resulted in your removal from office. More recently, Ms. Pelosi, in effect "mooned" Mr. Xi. That offense is gross folly, because the Chinese, unlike Dr Putin, are deeply sensitive to "face". Threaten Dr. Putin and he may just think you are immature. Call Mr. Xi bad names is picking a fight. Free on Youtube is a great BBC Documentary by Adam Curtis: "The power of nightmares". You and your administration need to watch it. You all either like or pretend for PR to like an endlessly dragging on reality tv show for real, "servant of the people", starring an opportunistic sometime comedian in a green t-shirt costume as suppressor of freedom in the Donbas, brought to all nations by Amerian weapons welfare. The United States of America: the biggest bully on the block – for now.

I recently read in a U.S. military online venue that "China has the aspiration to fundamentally reshape th international order". What else do we expect? If the roles were switched and our country had been subjected to colonial humiliation for centuries and only recently become an actor on the global stage, wouldn't we want to do that? "Move over, you old guys! We want a seat at the table, too!" Why doesn't the American goernment and why don't the American people think symmetrically? If we want something from others, probably the people we want it from want it from us, too. This should logically lead to negotiations to reach a modus vivendi Somebody once said: A good compromise is one which does not please anybody but which everybody can live with. Why do we think we should be "exceptional"? Mafia Dons are exceptional. The United States and the Soviet Union coexisted in sometimes tense but never hot Cold War for several decades. We do not have to like Mr. Xi or his regime, but can't we have a new Cold War with him instead of sending Ms. Pelosi to gratuitously insult him and bait Him into starting a new hot war with us? Neo-conservatives never change; they just keep looking for new opportunities to acquire unipolar hegemony over the whole earth, for what? To borrow a phrase from a U.S. Intelligence Officer about the Iranian regime and apply it back home here: That's just the kind of people they are. When will we grow up and stop playing "We're the biggest bully on the playground!" with the other superpowers who can back up their rehetoric with nuclear bombs, too? Humanity could go on forever in a Cold War but a hot World War III will likely be game over for everything. Maybe we would "win" the ultimate Pyrrhic victory but/and be dead rather than red. Start by turning off the weapons welfare spigot to Mr. Zelensky. Press him to implement an unconditional in-place cease-fire and negotiate NEUTRALITY with Russia. You can do it, Mr. President!

How can you snd your administration stomach Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy: an uncouth, hack comedian (he finds Monty Python hard to understand...) who plays being ignorant and stupid to appeal to gullible people's base "patriotism" to do ethnic cleansing of pro-Russian separatists in the Donbas? He dresses up in a green t-shirt costume each day to play the role of commando freedom fighter. In reality he owns lovely 15 room villa in Tuscany Italy, apparently through a shell company. He endlessly makes puling tearjerker sob story pleas for everybody to give him more weapons to suppress his fellow Ukrainiens in the Donbas and kill their Russian allies. When anybody does give him a handout, he kisses up and trots along behind them like a small dog. He would have been best friends with Mr. Trump if only Mr. Trump had not embarrassed him by publicly making military aid contingent on him digging up dirt on your son, Hunter, which he apparently figured was not good for his anti-corruption PR image. When anybody fails to abet his selfish war, Mr. Zelensky unleashes a volley of viuperative unhiinged rants at them. Mr. Zelensky is either clinically psychotic or playing his Messiah tv role very well. Either way, he is a loose cannon on the deck. Why are you supporting this nasty conniving opportunist? To overthrow Dr. Putin's government without a formal declaration of war from Congress? Russia is not at war with us. We should either mind our own business, or support freedom for all Ukrainians, including pro-Russians in the Donabas, and work with not against Dr. Putin, there. But no, we're crassly cynical: We long ago reneged on our promise to Mr. Gorbachev to not push NATO east of Germany. We do not care about right or truth, only about getting our way. Since Russia wasn't enough, you sent Ms. Pelosi to Taiwan to – metaphorically – take down her pants and show Mr. Xi her buttocks and fart in his face, to bait him into war with us. The United States should not be abetting one sectarian side of a squabble. We should be The Great Mediator, pressing for an unconditional in-place cease-fire, to stop the carnage: to stop the irreversible destruction of persons' lives, their property, and their pursuit of happiness. We should call an international peace conference to negotiate the elevation of Ukraine to NEUTRALITY. You can convene it in Mr. Zelensky's lovely 15 room villa in Tuscany Italy. We can help humanity win in Ukraine by stopping the losing proposition of war there. Especially grateful for an end to this insane selfish potlatch will be developing countries whose economies this war is ravaging even more then our own. Mr. President, your smiling face is no substitute for an end to the wretched war in Ukraine. Press Mr. Zelensky to declare an unconditional in-place cease fire to stop the slaughter. ---- Our former President Barak Obama, citing Robert Frost, once said:"A liberal is a man too broad-minded to take his own side in a quarrel." We are not being liberal about Ukraine. We are not studying how the Russians see the situation. We are not endeavoring to find a way for both sides to live togetther instead of killing each other, or rather: instead of their respective governments sending their citizens to kill each other. Because people at your level, the governors not the governed, lead from the rear without threat to your lives while sending your citizens to suffer and die for your wishes. They say there are no atheists in foxholes: there are no Presidents there either. You need to grow up. You need to study history and see that Dr. Putin is right: We promised that NATO would not move east of Germany but we renneged. How are we going to fix the problem we have caused by having gone back on our word? My guess is that Dr. Putin will accept if we admit our wrongdoing, stop supporting Mr. Zelesky's agenda of getting Ukraine into NATO, and stop trying to overthrow his government. Russia is not at war against us, so we should not be at war against Russia. America is a big country. Are we – are you personally, Sir – big enough to admit our mistakes and build both Ukraine and also our relations with Russia back better? I conclude with a story of what we should all aspire to: ....it was in Bosnia, the biggest single act of ethnic cleaning I had witnessed to date.... and there was an old man who stopped to talk to us.... and he was 80 years old and he looked as though he had already died.... and I asked him do you mind if I ask you Are you a Croat or a muslim? And he said, "I'm a musician".... (BBC World Service, June 26, 2022 03:00AM-06:00AM BST)

Saturday New York Times article: "Biden threatens a 'consequential' response if Russia turns to unconventional weapons." Mr. President, this is gross, reckless folly! What do you think the response of Dr. Putin would be if he would use "unconventional weapons" and you made good on your threat? Obviously: For him to *escalate again*! Logical conclusion: Thermonuclear apocalypse. Remember that Dr. Putin is a former juvenile delinquent whose childhood trauma was being cornered by a large rat. He finally neutralized the rat. You know very well that the only sane thing to do about this totally unnecessary disaster in Ukraine which is all due to TV Commando Zelensky trying to advance his career by pushing to get Ukraine into NATO is: UNCONDITIONAL IN-PLACE CEASE-FIRE FOLLOWED BY NEGOTIATION OF UKRAINE NEUTRALITY, meeting minimum Russian security requirements. Aything else and you are risking killing us all. You may get lucky or we may get unlucky. In business, instead of holding on to a product that doesn't sell, you dump it as a loss so you can start over try anew. ' You know our Ukraine policy is wrong: We promsed Mr. Gorbachev we would not take NATO east of Germany but we lied. We are not responsible members of a global community of nations who respect others as we would have them respect us. Intelligent persons who study the Ukraine mess, from Dr. Jordon Peterson on the right to Prof. Noam Chomsky on the left say Ukraine is not important to the United States and we should get out. But you keep exacerbating the problem, stubbornly determined to overthrow Dr. Putin's govrenment because you do not personally like his morals and, as Sec'y Austin said, we want to castrate Russia's military so they can't cause us any more embarrassment. Mr. President, consider the mess you have to address in the Donbas. Some of the people there like the Zelensky regime in Kiev and see Russian spies and collaborators everywhere. They feel NATO is hope for the future. Some others there see those same people as freedom fighters trying to stop the Zelensky regime in Kiev from repressing them. They wish Ukraine was still part of the Soviet Union. The people on each side sincerely believe they are right and want to defeat or at least be rid of the other side. It's called: patriotism. You took on a very difficult job becoming POTUS. It comes with perks which you probably enjoy. But you have to earn it by solving political problems too difficult for anybody else. Getting the two bickering sides in the Donbas to live in peace is one of those problems. Both/and. Not either/or. No losers. You are not earning your paycheck in Ukraine, Mr. President.

Mr. President, you are enabling a selfish comedian, Mr. Zelensky, and his tv production crew in Kiev, petty opportunists, to be a mouse that roars. By themselves their peremptory threats, now for all the Russians to flee or surrender, are impotent. But with carte blanche from America's big fist to back up his braggadocio, tV Commando Z can credibly threaten anything, because you will give him the weapons to follow through. Maybe you do not take Dr. Putin's carefully thought out and moderate words seriously: "Unfortunately, the development of a multipolar world is meeting resistance from those who are trying to retain their role as hegemon and control everything in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.... "This hegemon has been doing quite well for quite a long time, but it cannot go on like this forever, it is impossible," The United States, under your adventurist leadership and lack of statesmenship, is the biggest bully on the block. But no foreign power may need to bring us down if we Woke ourselves to enfeeblement. The ancient Greek playwrite Sophocles wrote about the downfall of a king who was determined to get his way against good sense: There is no happiness but in wisdom. No wisdom but in submission to the gods. Big words are always punished. And proud men learn in old age to be wise. The Russian bear may be weak. But, as Chairman Mao famously said: The East is Red. You should think about that before you get us all killed in aother totally unnecessary war which you are planning for no good purpose, this time with China because you refuse to let sleeping Taiwan dogs lie. For humanity's sake, Mr. President, we have to hope you, who govern not by realpolitik but by peeved fighting words in press conferences and interviews, will either come to your senses and change course, or evade fate, else all of us in America and the rest of the world sadly will be collateral damage.

Let's hope this will not just end up being one more trick in Mr. Zelensky's propaganda grab bag to try to get his regime in Kiev propped up by NATO in defiance of Russia's long standing assertion that, like Soviet missiles in Cuba were for USA in 1962, NATO in Ukraine is an existential threat. The world need peace in Ukraine, not this television actor whose role has gone to his head and is oppressing his own people in the Donbas to get away with it. The Russians would never have threatened the nuclear power plant had Mr. Zelnsky done the right thing and made Ukraine peaceful and neutral, so when Mr. Zelensky whines that the Russians are endangering the world with potential Chernobly II, he shoud preface that by saying he provoked them to do it, and that hence forth he will only seek peace starting with an in-place unconditional cease-fire and then pesce talks with Russia in his villa in Tuscany Italy.
