I
have an experimental set of SGML pages which I invite you to check out
(a 30-day free trial version of a Netscape SGML viewer plug-in can
be downloaded
from SoftQuad Inc.; I
regret that this viewer seems to have some bugs -- I discuss these in my sample pages...).
I have recently (30 jun - 5 Jul 97) redone this example. It now has some
interesting content (e.g., lists of my favorite
books, films, etc.), as well as more sophisticated SGML coding, such as tables and links
between different SGML pages....
I am looking for comments on the example's SGML functionality,
and/or other discussion about SGML. Click here
to enter this mini-SGML web. (You can also see the "my favorites" tables from the SGML pages,
without SGML, by invoking an SGML to HTML conversion CGI script via a form below.)
The asterisk where you are leads to the text of the Medieval "morality play"
The Summoning of
Everyman. If your WEB browser supports frames, JavaScript and VRML,
I invite you to visit the rare book room VRML world I am developing
in which one can study the text (unfortunately, the best part of this demo -- the text scrolling
when you turn the pages in the book -- currently only works with
Beta 3a of the Cosmo VRML plugin).
I have a function to do full text searches
on this site. If you wish to use this service,
please request permission. Thank you.
