I really blew it. During the 2020 Trump first impeachment hearings I was seduced by the todo about Mr. Trump trying to get dirt on Hunter Biden from Mr. Zelensky, who refused to stoop to that dirty work. Oh what an honorable man to refuse $400 millions in military aid at the price of not being a rat! I now see this was red herring stuff.

Of course, Mr. Trump was trying to do a bad thing with his tit-for-tat. But I failed to espy what was going on on the other side. Mr. Zelensky looked like a clown, which, of course, he is, although not an honorable one. But the real invisible elephant in the middle of the small room, hiding in plain sight wsa the issue I missed: Why was Mr.Zelensky seeking $400 millions in miliary aid in the first place? The answer, I can now see clearly with 20/10 hindsight was and still is: To engage in a repressive war against his own people to prop up his selfish autocratic political regime. I was distracted by the traitor in America's White House and missed the thug in Kiev. I am guilty of failing to see the obvious. Obviously I do not deserve to be Secretary of Stae of the United Staes of America, bu then neither does anybody else who failed to read the writing on the wall. Mr. elensky was bad news for the get go. A thug. I blew it. But so too did every other latter day American Cold Warrior. i did not know about University of Chicago Professor John Mearsheimer's work on the post-Cold War geopolitical situation. But jus to see that thick little man' sycophantic face on the television with Mr. Trump should have been enough (above). My childrearing conditioned me to ot see the obvious.

Long live the U.S.S.R., in peaceful competition with The West for so long as there is no authentic industrial democracy worker self rule (anarcho-syndicalist soviets) in either place! Both were and remain bad.
