I have heard of an old women whose daughter was a high-power New York Real Estate attorney. She had everything, including adopted children — everything except a biological offspring. She underwent extensive fretility teatments(sic) and eventually did become pregnant and achieve a successful live birth. She got leukemia and after years of painful treatments, died from it. Her mother wonders whether the fertility treatments caused the cancer. Was the life of the baby worth the death of its mother?
A mother cat is proud of her kittens. She cannot create in the arts and sciences. So she finds fulfillment in procreating. Ditto uneducated humans. But for those who are educated and can create ne cultural productions, what is the reason for the obsession to procreate / re—produce what ther are already TMTC of, which any cat or uneducated person (or even bacterium) can do but only an educated human can create new cultural productions. Of course, if you do live in a society that does not have Social Security then you need to submit to procreating to provide for your old age.
The goddess Athena sprang from the head not the groin of Zeus. If I (BMcC[18-11-46-503]) was a women I think I would pray to be "barren" so I wouldn't need to worry about contraception or abortions.
