↑Both my intrusive parents and the faculty/administration of the disciplinarian school aslo believed in the divine right of adults to rule with adsolute authority over students and children, including children who were also students. The latter, in their turn, had to reciprocate with unquestioning obedience. In other words, the students and children were property not persons, objects not subjects. Bu they were yet supposed to act as if they had freedom and dignity, and show grateful love and respect for their masters, who, in turn, showed loving benevolence to them, except when they disobeyed. In that case, coercive measures, could be applied to them without limit. It was the age of "honor thy fahter and mother", and, for schools: "in loco parentis" which I (BMcC[18-11-46-503]) have for long now translated as: "parents are insane". Ineffect, even though it was after 1863 in USA, I was a slave; item: I did not have 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination (Example: here), presumably because twhtever they did to me was for my own good (Ref.: Alica Miller). In other words, It was a totalitarian dictatorship and both the masters and the masses had to put on a pretense that it was a free society. As noted elsewhere, I did not even have freedom to dispose over the hairs which grew on my scalp (here).
Unfortunate for themself, the person who lacks one; unfortunate for others, the person that is one. Don't be an a**hole!
